Be Honest

Hello friends!

In a past event that I was part of, I was  able to work with a person who made mistakes here and there but never admitted to them. That was understandable to me but also very questionable.  I admit that I too made my fair share of mistakes here and there as well. However, I had this tendency to point out what I did wrong when faced with the mistake. I was openly honest and direct because I figured that I wouldn’t want someone else to get blamed for something that I did incorrectly, it just doesn’t seem fair to me. In my opinion, making mistakes because that impossible. However, it is possible to try your best and strive for better accuracy but don’t beat yourself up if you made a mistake.

Why being honest is awesome:

  • It keeps you karma clear. You haven’t built up bad karma because you were truthful
  • You don’t have to build on more lies
  • It reminds people that you are human
  • It’s a direct way of communication. No one is beating around the bush
  •  It allows for people to trust you more and it does build up your credibility as a honest human being.

Honesty does in fact go a long way. It can open and close many doors. Doors that once led to pain and deception can be closed when the truth is told. If you sat down with someone who you felt hostile towards and honestly told them what was in your heart, and how you felt then the chances are that the other person may reciprocate that honesty with you as well. You and that person could finally find some clarity, peace of mind and continue to move forth.  How wonderful would it be to be able to move forth with life without and any remorse and bitter feelings?

Doors can be opened for you when your honesty is sought after as an endearing quality. If your feedback and input came from honest, truthful and positive knowledge about a topic, people may find you credible and one to trust. However, if your honesty comes with a negative tone and lies, people will see it and may not help you to open more doors.

“Don’t bend; don’t water it down; don’t try to make it logical; don’t edit your own soul according to the fashion. Rather, follow your most intense obsessions mercilessly.”

Happy birthday my dear juneminuse! =]

Be Able to Shine

Hi all,

Hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving weekend and if you don’t celebrate it, I hope you all had a nice and relaxing weekend!

Today’s post was inspired by A Return to Love audio by spiritual activist, author, lecturer, Marianne Williamson. I was referred to her awhile back from a friend of mine and I resonate very well with a lot of her ideas and beliefs. One phrase that I found very wonderful was,

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

Being able to shine can mean a lot of different things for different people. People can shine through singing, helping people, rescuing animals or even picking up liter. Whatever act makes you feel like you can be yourself, be positive and happy is a way of being able to let your light simply shine.

Marianne also noted that we are all a child of God. To me, that is very positive and comforting statement because if we come directly from a divine source then there is no way that we cannot let our light shine through. Our lights were given us to be appreciated and used for the greater good of all mankind.

I find that we are able to shine by positively contributing to the masses by using our good judgement, gifts and talents. Rather than working at a place that we don’t find any value in wouldn’t it be great to be able to “work” at a place that made us feel as if we were contributing to those in need? I think that would definitely have a more satisfying, impacting and lasting effect.

Of course, it’s somewhat difficult at first when you are trying to make a means of living but just keep in the back of your mind that your current “job” is temporary and that your sole purpose for living is to following your passion and what you were intended to do during this lifetime. Try and don’t let a lack of funds hinder your light from shining because what a waste of your wonderful talents that would be if people couldn’t see your passion.

If you have yet to find your passion, please don’t give up! There’s is something out there intended for each and every one of us. Let the universe know that you are ready to be guided in the direction of something that you’ll enjoy, find meaningful and most importantly – love!

More importantly, once you begin following your passion, life will begin to turn in your favor. You’ll notice more coincidences, faster manifestation and you’ll notice the impact you’re having on people. Followers may be inspired by you being able to do what you truly love. That inspiration can also lead to other people following their passion and so on and so forth.

Be in a Tough Spot

Earlier this week, I was swindled by a car repair shop and I kept thinking to myself,  “How this was attracted into my life?”  To me, I interpreted it as the universe telling me that I need to be reminded of a lesson, which I’ve come to as – To not do business with someone when your intuition is knocking on your stomach and to keep quiet when fishy strangers try and talk to you.

Eventually, I found a positive spin on this situation and thought that perhaps this man may need the funds more than I do or wants some unnecessary bad karma in his life. Whichever the case may be, I do intend only good for him as I know that with bad intentions comes bad responses.

The way I see challenging solutions is that they are experiences that we must go through in order to learn, grow and share.

We learn from difficult situations by knowing what not to do the next time that even happens in our lives. We can divert our attention in different ways, even repeating positive affirmations.

We grow from tough situations by knowing the difference between what works and what doesn’t.

Sharing is a great outcome of a tough situations as well because when we learn and grow from a negative experience then we can ultimately teach and encourage other people as well.

Sometimes we fear a new challenge or a new task, especially when it’s in a formal or professional setting. To over come that fear, just remember that from this new challenge, a new skill and more knowledge will be built. Don’t be afraid to fail and mess up, time and time again because that just means that your closer to getting better at your new challenge.

Learning meaningful lessons in this lifetime is eye-opening , so don’t be afraid to keep experiencing new and positive things!

Be Able to Make the Best Decisions

This is Simba, only 5 weeks old, had to give him up to my dog-loving friend so he could be adopted into a loving family.

I’ll always remember the short yet sweet time we had together little one!

Hi all!

Simba came into my life very surprisingly and only for a short period of time. He’s adorable, young, innocent and new to the world! I would have loved to raise him into this new and exciting world but given my circumstances, I had to find him a new home.

Luckily, I have a humble friend named Joanne who undoubtedly has a major passion for all dogs. She volunteers a lot of  her time at an animal shelter near her house in addition to adopting and training all dogs as well.

I am so glad to have met her a couple of months ago and it’s always a joy to talk about dogs and their behaviors. She definitely has a special place in her heart for all dogs, which I think is just amazing! So I knew she was the best person to give Simba to. She knew exactly what to do with this young puppy and promised that she’ll take good care of him AND send me pictures of him when he gets adopted by a good family (I can’t wait!)

I know Simba is in great hands!

It was definitely tough having to give up this adorable pup. Nevertheless, the decision I made was one of logic and intuition. I think that the best decisions are made with a clear conscious and a great connection to our intuition.

How do we strengthen our intuition to make better decisions?

  • Through meditation and making it a habit to clear our minds everyday
  • Asking our guides, angels or whomever we seek guidance from to please lead you in the right choice, path, answer
  • Moving towards a karma-free life (Living more humbly, from within yourself and servicing others)
  • Letting go of the past, living in the present and not worrying about the future
  • Knowing that all you do in life is made with the best intentions

We all should consciously can make the best decisions in life especially when we are in tuned with our intuitions, it’s almost like having a supernatural power – to decide on the best decision for the best outcome. Our intuition must be built up on an every day basis, just as when we exercise our bodies, so should we with our minds.

Be Mindful This Holiday Season (5 Tips to Remember!)

Taken in Wrightwood, CA, November 2011

Hi there,

It’s as obvious as the nose on my face, and we all notice it. Plus, the signs are everywhere; it’s the holiday season; it’s here once again!

They seem to be coming quick this year and those festive holiday get-together’s, gift-buying and decorations can definitely take a toll on any person.

That’s why I created a  fairly short list of things to remember so that you don’t over-exert yourself because everyone should deserve to feel their best during the holidays. Remember: These are the same tips you can use all-year long, we should always be jolly, giving and in a good mood every single day of our lives. We are beacons of light, peace and hope.

Here are 5 things to remember this Holiday Season:

1. GET SOME REST & TAKE YOUR VITAMINS!! – Having some alone time for yourself and being able to rest and relax is incredibly important for your immune system. It’s super easy to get so stressed out and over-whelmed with all the engagements and plans that we forget to take care of ourselves.  So please remember to wash your hands, drink a lot of healthy fluids and bundle up (Unless you’re in the warm geographical areas during Christmas (Like, Australia!) In that case, bundle less & stay hydrated)

2. STAY ORGANIZED – Write down everything that needs to be done prior to holiday parties & gift purchases. Remember that if you are hosting a holiday party that you do not over-exert too much energy because it’s noticeable and your visitors are more interested in being comfortable, relaxed and well-fed.

3. SMILE & SHARE – This year you might want to give an extra holiday card to that nice friend in high school or college that you lost contact with. Send dour warmest wishes and expect nothing in return.  Be content with all that you have at this point in your life. It’s also great to spend time with the less fortunate and the ones you love.

4. DON’T GET YOUR HOPES UP – Expect plans to not go through and expect not to get that perfect present. As negative as this may seem, a lot of tough situations may occur along the way and sometimes certain plans or gifts won’t go through. So be grateful for what you do receive and remember that you are loved. Keep your positive hopes up and keep intending for the best results.

5. DO SOMETHING SPONTANEOUS – Have you ever wanted to do something amazing over the holidays but never got the chance to do it? Given a sound budget, round up a few good friends/family members and just go do it! Take the camera and capture those special moments. The spontaneity will make you feel young and happy.

So those are my own 5 things to remember/do this holiday season! I hope this was helpful to all and early happy holidays to you all!

Be With the Right Crowd

Birds of the same feather, flock together

Hi there!

Hope your week is going great!

Earlier today, I thought about what it means to have a few positive and supportive people in our lives. It’s not only good to have these few people in our lives but it can also lead to a brighter and better future! If we hung out with people who brought us down and never encourage us, how would we ever rise above mediocrity?

I once heard that the five people you hang out with the most  can closely resemble who you are and that it’s best to hang out with winners, not losers. On the other side of the coin, we do come across people who aren’t as like-minded but we learn from those experiences too which is good because we see things from another light. Therefore, making sure that those five people are inspiring you and supporting your dreams is very important.

Here are some quick tips for being around the right crowd:

  • Be around people who are smarter than you – This way you’ll learn, grow and find out new things about new topics. At first, it will be intimidating but the rewards will be wroth it.
  • Don’t be afraid to not want to hang out with people who bring you down. You’ll know who these people are by your intuition, it will always guide you to the right people if you just listen.
  • Dream big together – Find similar individuals with the same intentions and visions as you. That way, you can get through the path together and help support and encourage one another.

These supportive individuals are the ones we turn to when we are feeling low and ones that can uplift and encourage our spirit.I also think that the 5 closest people you hang out with is really important. Being around supportive and uplifting individuals also create a similar consciousness. If you end goal was to be successful in business, then learning  from the best and being around the best people would could have more of a higher impact on you rather than hanging out with people who aren’t willing to grow and learn with you.

At the end of the day, the decision is really up to the individual. Everyone we meet is a small reflection of who we are.

Be Able to Ask Questions

Ask and you shall seek

Hi all!

Today it dawned on me that asking questions wasn’t something that I volunteered myself to do at an early age. I always hoped that someone else would ask the question that I had in my mind. Then I realized that the advantage of  getting older (or wiser) is that you don’t care (as much) that you ask questions and seek answers. You begin to not care so much about how other people perceive you and to me, that’s an awesome feeling! I’t as if life starts again while you are more aware of who you are.

It’s certainly brave to step out and seek answers. Nowadays, it’s easy to just hear some facts and believe them to be true, not knowing that perhaps your source was wrong. In that instance, seeking truth, answers and questioning things would be extremely helpful not only to your knowledge but to able to go by facts and not gossip.

When learning, asking good, quality questions is also important. It shows that you’ve thought about the topic more than what’s on the surface. Ask a great question shows how you are using your critical thinking skills and that you show much interest in learning and moving forth.

So don’t be afraid to ask questions, I sure won’t be =)

Be Able to See Your Vision Board

Some of the vision boards I have nailed to the wall in my room, I look at them every morning.

Hey everyone!

Question: Have you looked at your vision board lately? Are you having trouble putting one together?

In a nutshell, a vision board is a collage of pictures or words that are meaningful and crucial to your future. It can contain anything you want to see in the near or far future and it should be viewed at at least once a day. Don’t be shy and out whatever that is meaningful to you. It’s fun and it’s easy!

Things you’ll need:

  • scissors
  • magazines of things/events/words of your liking
  • glue or tape
  • a board or frame to put the collage together on
  • a couple of minutes (depending on how carried away you get with the board)
  • positive and humble thoughts

Here are some key things to remember when putting together your board:

  • It’s not silly – It’s 100 % real if you actually put the effort into it and believe it to manifest in your life. Any questionable doubt or hindered feelings will definitely delay the process. You can Google it and find hundreds of great stories that came from vision boards.
  • You must be willing to give back and work hard – You must provide value to others and have a humble purpose for your actions in life. Don’t expect that everything will manifest if you are not out there making a difference.
  • Don’t be afraid – Put up exactly what you want. You are worth it and deserving of all things that are great.
  • Share your vision board with other people – If they think it’s silly, don’t mind them because you don’t need that negativity and doubtful character in your life if you want to get ahead and achiever more. People with the same visions and goals are better to be around.

Once you’ve put the collage  together, hang it up somewhere you can see it every day or even twice a day. A well-lit place is also a great idea to place the vision board(s). The more you look at it, the more motivation and power it possesses.

When you look a it, visualize yourself already obtaining those things/situations/events in your life. Humbly smile at the millions of people you’ve helped, feel the warm water in your infinity pool, smell the leather in that new Maybach. This not only tells the universe that you want it, but it implants a powerful thought, the thought that one day, it will be yours.

I hope that helps!

Be Grounded (With Nature)

Hi all,

Many people have their own versions of what being grounded means to them. For me, being grounded with the universe through nature is an amazing feeling and can keep that balance that we need in our lives. It’s also a way of coming back to your core and being present. If we are not grounded and our ego takes control of our lives, then it’s most likely that we will come across physical or emotional distress (I am guilty of this!)

Previously in my Spirit Mind group, we talked about the importance of being grounded and how it’s a good idea to make the bare soles of our feet touch the soil, dirt or grass beneath us. My friend, Liz had read a study that said that women who were trying to conceive were asked to walk barefoot on grass or soil in order to have their body align with mother nature. This can help to promote  and radiate growth and  fertility to the woman. It was also said that women in third world countries don’t have nearly as many issues with conceiving because they are constantly walking in soil or grass, therefore being aligned with mother nature and life forms. True or not, I believe that we are all connected and sometimes, one thing can affect another.

With that said, here are a couple of things you can do to stay grounded:

  • Sit down, close your eyes and think about everything  your grateful for.
  • If you’re driving, breathe in deeply and think about the small things you are happy about.
  • Walk around barefoot on grass for a few minutes.
  • Have a picnic, sit on the grass and enjoy your snacks and beverages.
  • Be in nature and marvel at all the beauty that mother nature has created for us.
  • Spend some time with friends or family and talk about your dreams, passions and future endeavors. Be supportive, listen and be encouraging.
I hope you have some time to get grounded soon, it’s an awesome feeling and great for your health!
Do you have special ways that help you stay grounded?

Be Able to Provide Value

Beautiful pink rose the rose garden near my house

Hi there!

I thought about the concept of value today and how it relates to blogging. Value can come in many shapes and sizes. It can be through an experience that we value something or it can some type of value that was taught to us at an early age. Material things also carry “value” and that too is taught to us through the media and marketing. When we buy something or seek something special, we usually look for its value and worth. In other words, we figure out what this something can provide for us if we either purchase or obtain information from it.

Here are some ways on how you can provide value to others:

  • Be passionate about the topic – Have a genuine interest in it and know your topic inside and out.
  • Teach from experience – Usually the best advice is from an experience we had in the past in which we learned a great lesson. Use that to portray your message.
  • Read books – This is where you can gain a lot of vital information that can help others and gain credibility through facts and figures.

In the blogging world, writing allows me to (hopefully) provide value to my readers and I can only intend that they find my tips/experiences/lessons useful in this lifetime. Growing up, I didn’t have much space to help others and provide some type of value. I was only able to write my thoughts down in a journal and hope that one day my ideas and thoughts can shine through and be able to help others.
