Earlier today, I was thinking about being consistent and how we enjoy positive things that we our consistent with in our lives. If we are consistently on time, we build a good reputation for being on time. If we are consistent with exercising, we stay fit and have more energy. The same goes for being consistent with our positive thoughts and habits.
If we want to see a positive change in our lives, we must start by getting into the habit of consciously choosing uplifting & positive thoughts. Staying consistent in any area of which you trying to excel at is highly crucial as well. It must become a habit in which you repeat the process every day. It isn’t easy at first, a lot of people can tell you that. However, the long-term rewards and the changes that happen within you is very much worth it. Whether it is changing your thoughts, exercising or learning something new, we must make it a consistent habit of doing it every day.
Here are 3 ways that you can begin forming a positive mental attitude:
1. Immediately when you wake up from bed, say thank you and bless your day. You can also say, “This is going to be a great day!” Whichever you feel most comfortable with is fine, just as long as you repeat a positive phrase when you rise. Do not think about all the things you have to do because you can save that for later. When you initially give thanks when you rise, the more happier your day will unveil.
2. While driving, riding the bus or doing a daily morning ritual, look at the sky or the sun and notice how beautiful it is, give thanks that mothernature has done it again! Bringing you yet another glorious day.
2. Smile at least 3 times at people in the morning or throughout the day.

The other day, I was catching up on an episode of “New Girl” starring Zoey Deschanel before the season finale aired tonight and I really resonate with some of their jokes and I found myself (literally) laughing out loud and that was a very good feeling. I think laughter is great way of releasing. Throughout the day, we tend to build up a lot of stagnant energy that has nowhere to go. Personally, I think releasing through laughter is a great way to let it go. Luckily for me, I can find comedic shows and have a good laughter release ever now and then. So don’t be afraid to laugh or smile at something (even if it’s a little mean or weird) just remember to give it much peace and light to that thing or person and let it go.
If you find t hard to laugh because you have to take things seriously at work or at school, then make it a point to look or read about something funny or happy during your breaks. That simple energy you create for laughter and happiness allows for your spirit to be uplifted.
(Just for fun, here are my predictions for the show, I think Jess and Nick will eventually start dating and perhaps in the last show-get married. Maybe Cece and Schmidt too but who knows! They’re still a new couple but they’re entertaining. Winston and his current gf will probably break up but his boss might promote him to something bigger and better, beyond his dreams.)
It’s true that there are many distractions in this physical life. I can admit to this because most times I get so caught up in the, “What do I have to do now?” and I forget to breathe and take it slow. I have tried very hard to take three deep breaths throughout my day; inhaling and exhaling very slowly to the point where I fill all my lungs with air. This reminds me to slow down and remember the most over-looked function of our bodies; our breath.
Being mindful helps us to take it slow and of course there are times where things must be done before deadline but taking three breaths will remind us to become centered and remember out true purposes in life. I see people who are so rushed and stressed throughout their day and I think to myself, “Relax, it’s ok! Your world does not surround around just one thing!”
So here are 3 things that can help you to quickly de-stress throughout your day:
1. Take 3 Deep Breaths: Inhale fully in and exhale fully out and clear your mind while you’re doing those 3 breaths. This may center yourself and make you feel more grounded.
2. Think & Smile: Think of something really funny or something that makes you smile, this will remind you of simple joys and true happiness. Smiling is also a way to send messages to your brain that you are happy! So try smiling at other co-workers you pass by or even strangers on the street, you’ll never know how it may brightens someone else’s day.
3. Drink for Clarity: Drink WATER and as you take a sip or gulp, think pure, fresh and new thoughts. Just as water is pure, re-freshing and good for you, so are positive thoughts. More positive thoughts equals a happier and more energetic day.

Taking on new opportunities can be somewhat challenging at first. We have to figure out if we have enough time, knowledge and will power to take on something new. What blocks us at first is fear and that is a strong feeling that we have become adopted to, especially when we are going to do something new. However, fear is a part of our ego and our ego always wants to win us over by making us feel like we know it all but you cannot let them win and it is ok to learn. From my experiences, taking on new and different opportunities are the surprising gifts that the universe gives us. Once we take on a new opportunity, we learn things about ourselves and other people.
Here are some reasons to take on new opportunities:
We step out of our comfort zone: We may meet interesting people or potential close friends who we share meaningful conversations with. We can learn about other people’s point of views or hobbies we never took much interest to.
It keeps our minds busy and in curious: We must exercise the brain every day to keep it sharp and alert. Trying something new, keep the brain busy and seeking for more knowledge.
Discovery: It also allows us to find out new things about ourselves and I believe that when we find out new things about ourselves, it’s like unwrapping a new gift! How special and amazing would that be.
How to Let Opportunities Come in…
1. Let go of something that you’re (kind of) addicted to
Ex. Signing on Facebook every day, drinking that extra glass of wine, going shopping for no reason, gossip talk.
Once you let go of these things, you’ll notice more clarity and open space in your life.
2. Repeat positive affirmations
Affirmations are statements that quickly shifts our minds think of something we want to attract into our lives. We just say it in our minds and we believe it to already be true. Make sure they are positive affirmations that are good for all people involved.
Ex. of a positive affirmation that should be said at least once a day:
“I’m truly grateful for all of the things in my life, the good and the bad and I firmly intend to attract new and exciting opportunities to come into my life.”
3. Clean your living space
Feng Shui is the belief that when a room or area is in harmonious balance, good things will come into our lives. Therefore, a room or living space must always be clean and organized. This way, it’s easy for good energy to flow into our lives.
Ex: Clean and/or organize your office or desk area, that is the most important especially if you’re looking for job opportunities. In reality, all parts of your living space should be clean for good things to come into it.
So I encourage taking on new opportunities and being open to change and new concepts. If something works well for you then great! Keep going! If not, then it’s always ok to move on to the next. Good luck!
Having safe and common plants in our house and/or office can be highly beneficial to us in various ways. Plants are living organisms just like people; they require water, cleanliness and like attention. Also, since there are hundreds of different household plants, it’s also good to remember that specific plants can bring you specific health benefits. Keep in mind that there are some plants that do no mix well with humans or animals, so it’s important to research some household plants before welcoming them into your home.
So here are 3 basic benefits of having household plants:
They lift our spirits – Seeing a live, lusciously green plant on a daily basis may keep us more calm and relaxed. The idea of seeing a living thing is automatically joyous in our minds.
They help clean our air – NASA studies found that common household plants help to clean our air and remove some toxic emissions such as formaldehyde and carbon monoxide. There are studies that show that particular types of plants can also negate the smoke of cigarettes and can help with allergies.
They keep you in the present moment – When you water your plant and clean its leaves, you are enjoying the moment and the universe likes to know that you are grateful. Taking care of plants will remind you of how wonderful life is and to slow down.
Here are some tips to keep your indoor plants alive and healthy:
Make sure they are in a well-sized pot and they have room to grow.
It they require soil and they need to be replanted, keep the soil that they came in and just add more soil to the surrounding areas.
Keep the soil moist but not too damp.
Water often and clean their leaves of dust so they can grow healthier.
Cut their yellow or brown tips with a scissor.
Know your plant! if they require direct sunlight, place them in a spot that gets a lot of light, if they require some or no sunlight, DO NOT place them in direct sunlight. I know my bamboo plants do not like direct sunlight as much as my tropical plant does, so do some research on the plant you’re getting so you know how to best take care of them.
Get a water bottle spray and spray their leaves and soil, plants love this.

Once in awhile, I’ll get that famous question, “How can I can be happy?” or that phrase, “I don’t think anyone is truly happy.”
In response to that, I’ve decided that there are 7 keys points that can will change your views on life and thus creating TRUE happiness in your life. Listen to your intuition (or that gut feeling): This is something that you hear all the time and it stands true. Your intuition is something that is always true and will allow you to make the best decisions in your life. When making decisions, go for the one that truly makes sense to you, the one that feels right, not forced. Find your passion: Listening to your intuition can help you find something that you are truly passionate about. Finding your passion may take a little courage to step outside of that comfortable box that you live in. However, never force yourself to do something you are not intuitively do not want to do. Take up a class in your favorite activity, read a new book that you’ve never heard of, etc. Be grateful: Being grateful is what makes the universe smile. You are given things because you are deserving of them and you should be thankful for everything in it. Even if it’s the water that you use to wash your face or the alarm clock that went off this morning, acknowledge that you have it and say, “thanks!” Being grateful really allows you to have more. Surround yourself with people who care: When you are surrounded with people who truly care about you and support you and your future, then that growing love will expand and make you feel more creative and happy =) If you live alone, surround yourself with light, envision a huge white light around you. Imagine that peace and love surrounds you every single day. Ask for what you want: Spend some time figuring out what you want and write it down, keep that sheet of paper and recite it to yourself over and over. Imagine it already in your life. Feel it! Envision yourself already in that state of what you want. Be kind to your mind: We think 60,000 thoughts a day and many of those thoughts are the same thoughts we had of the day before that and the day before that. Wake up in the morning and decide to choose NEW thoughts, positive thoughts. Look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself, “What can I do to make you happy today?” And listen, listen to what your body is telling you to do. (Louise Hay taught me this). Lessen the EGO: This is a huge one because we don’t even know when our ego is thinking or if it’s us who are thinking. The ego feeds off superficial things, not inner things. When our ego becomes too big, we can’t listen to what we really want in our lives. I intend that these pointers help you out to better the advancing of our human consciousness development.
